For many professionals, the prospect of a complaint or allegation of negligence is one of the most stressful situations they can face and can be quite daunting. Having professional indemnity protection in place often eases this anxiety, while providing reassurance to clients.

Through our team of experienced advisers, our policies provide cover and advice for allegations of professional negligence. Awards will include costs and expenses incurred to help alleviate the personal and financial stress of dealing with a claim, or serious allegations of neglect.

Policy excess

  • From £500 each & every claim/claimant depending on your cover requirements

Significant or unusual exclusions and limitations

  • You will normally have to pay an initial contribution towards each claim (the excess). These excesses may vary by your choice of cover or our underwriters’ assessment of your business. Your schedule of insurance and the policy terms and conditions will detail the specific excesses applicable to your policy.
  • We will only cover work that you have told us your business conducts, and that we’ve agreed to insure
  • We will not cover Commercial Insurance activities unless we have agreed to do so.
  • We will not pay claims arising from any circumstances which you knew about or ought reasonably to have known about before the policy started.
  • We will not pay claims arising from any single premium payment protection plan.
  • We will not pay claims arising from your insolvency.
  • We will not pay claims arising from Financial Institutions.
  • We will not pay claims prior to the retroactive date (if any) shown on the schedule of insurance.
  • We will not pay claims arising from work conducted outside of the UK, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands & the Isle of Man.
